What You’ll Need
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon cold water
½ cup white sugar
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup cider vinegar
1 clove garlic, minced
½ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
How It’s Done
Using a small saucepan, combine the corn starch and cold water until well blended.
Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a slow simmer stirring frequently until the sauce thickens and begins to bubble.
Tips
This
is
an
excellent
sauce
which
can
be
used
on
a
number
of
meats
including
baked
chicken,
salmon
or
even
beef.
To
make
cleanup easier....line your baking pan with aluminum foil ahead of time. Makes cleanup quick and easy.
