This is a BBQ sauce my Dad passed down to me with just a couple modifications. Although it is not my signature sauce it is a very good basic sauce with readily available ingredients. You can build your own signature sauce from this one. What You’ll Need 1/2 Cup Butter - melted 1 small Onion 2 Cloves Garlic 1 1/2 tsp Dry Mustard 1 tsp Horseradish 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Chili Powder 1 Bottle (24oz) Ketchup 2 tsp Lemon Juice 1/4 Cup Cider Vinegar 3 tsp Brown Sugar 2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce 1 1/2 tsp Liquid Smoke 1 tsp Fresh Ground Pepper How it’s Done Take the first 7 ingredients and puree them well in a food processor or blender. Combine the puree mixture with all remaining ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a simmer. Simmer for at least 30 min. The longer it simmers the thicker the sauce will be.
