Hoisin Sauce

Ever have that perfect recipe and realize you don’t have that one ingredient...either because you have run out or just don’t ever use it. Well this is a great recipe for homemade Hoisin Sauce

What you Need

  • 4 Tbs Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbs Peanut Butter - Smooth
  • 1 Tbs Dark Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tbs Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Garlic Clove - finely minced
  • 2 Tbs Sesame Seed Oil
  • 1 tsp Hot Sauce (more or less to taste)
  • ⅛ tsp Black Pepper

How it’s Done

  • EASY - Place all ingredients into a blender. Blend to a smooth liquid. Done


-  If all you have is “crunchy” peanut butter, don’t fret. After blending simply run it through a strainer and remove the peanut chunks.

-  Red wine vinegar may be substituted with no problem. If all you have is distilled white vinegar, add a few drops of lemon juice to it first.
